In the spirit of sharing, this is some of the information I have on the Fountain family starting with John Fountain b York 1789, his son William b York 1820 and his son George b 1859 Chapel en le Frith. This is my first attempt at creating reports from RootsMagic (and uploading them on to here).JOHN FOUNTAIN

About the author: Heather B.
I first became interested in family history many years ago, in my teens when everything was on paper and involved visits to local record offices. My next door neighbour at the time was an elderly man who had charge of the parish records for our village and I used to help him answer the letters requesting information which sparked a lifetime interest in the subject. More recently I have helped with online transcriptions for the National Archives and, at the request of the Rector, have mapped the graves at Smarden Church in Kent. These can be found on the church’s website and at Find A Grave. I tend to keep my Ancestry trees set to private as I use them as an online workbook to be checked and printed out (not very environmentally friendly I know) but I’m happy to share any information I have. I’m particularly interested in the back stories to people’s life’s, the times they lived in etc hence my current research into the Hindle family and their travels.

Get involved!
